A Picture Is Worth 1,000 Words

  1. But the speaker at Gullible Travel is wearing a suit and looking professional...shouldn't he be wearing a Hawaiian shirt and looking shifty? Just to make it more realistic...

  2. I have some interesting observations about the picture on the left, "Travel Agent Counsel".

#1 Lots of seats and only 3 traditional travel agents show up for training. None of the TTA's in his Province appear to be interested in the topic, "Promoting Professionalism".

#2 The lady at the door is late.

#3 The lady at the door looks unhappy to be there. Perhaps her boss, JF told her she had to go. ;>)

#4 The 4 characters are all Canadian traditional agents.

#5 Their "Travel Agent Council" banner is sadly sagging.

#6 The presenter appearance is "dull"...no color in his suit, as no doubt his presentation.

  3. Picture on the right:

#1 - No mention of professionalism.

#2 - Notice the balloons with dollar signs...signifying the flow of money rising to the top of the pyramid.

    Your turn...

  4. Whoops, forgot to add #7 to the list.

#7 The missing agents watched "The Secret", got rid of all the negitivity in their life and joined with the happy folks in the picture on the right.

  5. Lmao...I forgot to take my bitterness medication today and was way to tired from working to watch "The Secret". I've already seen Pay it Forward.

    :)

  7. #3 - All the people on the right have their hands in the air as if they're being robbed...like a stick-up.
#4 - Person at bottom left is wearing jailbird stripes.

    Back to you...

  8. First, let me first apologize to John for what I am about to do…

    BUT I CAN’T HELP MYSELF!

At least he has his Blog…

(It's all in good fun John)

    ReplyDelete
  9. At least he has his blog! LOL!

So Doug, if that's John behind the desk, who's the good look'n babe standing in the doorway?

    ReplyDelete
  10. I will assume its one of us bitter old hen's :]

    ReplyDelete
  11. Actually that is supposed to be Peter Stilphen....this is a Bill ALverson creation, he is the CEO of Joystar.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Ahh Travel Wars...got to love it.

I didn't think anyone would think that was actualy you John. You have a much nicer head of hair.

Now for the old hen...We have a picture of Lisa with that beautful baby...not her.

Wonder what Ann looks like? ;-P

(For the record...the "old hen" is Stilphen's wife.)

  13. " Wonder what Ann looks like? "

    LOL . . .

    Or maybe azagat or vacationagent.

  15. Picture on the left:

Lady pokes her head in and asks, "Is this the DTA meeting?"

    DTA - Disgruntled Travel Agents

    ReplyDelete
  16. Disgruntled travel agents... I like that one... LOL!!!

What's with that black scribble area in the left picture? It looks like a giant cobweb.

Is that the vacant building in my town that used to be a brick and mortar travel agency? I'm sure it's full of cobwebs now.

The guy in the left seat needs to join the hair club for men. he must be stressed out.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I noticed in both pictures there are only women in attendance with men as the presenters. Gee...I wonder what that's all about? A Canadian culture thing?

    ReplyDelete
  18. I wouldn't assume anything Proud - your assumptions have poved the old saying about the word "assume" - like that all MDs have PhDs?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Cobweb? Lol its a drawing. But i guess the same could be said for the picture on the right. Is that a big black cloud decending the the crowd? A symbol of things to come?

  21. Hey anonymous, it's just a comic! We're having some fun with this. Lighten up!

Maybe it's anonymous standing in front of the room in the picture on the left wondering why no other TTAs showed up for the meeting.

    :)

  22. Hey John, I think we got more then 1000 words so far. Watcha got next?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yeah...what he said...can we get one with Calvin and Hobbes next?

    ReplyDelete
  24. I don't think o2bfishn understands how the google ads work...

    click, click, click... ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  25. o2bfishin,

Unfortunately for John, those ads are put there by the host of this blog website... not John. He has no control over the ads.

Fortunately for us, they are there.

    ReplyDelete
  26. LOL, Proud.

"Unfortunately for John, those ads are put there by the host of this blog website... not John. He has no control over the ads.

Fortunately for us, they are there."

John can remove them whenever he wants - by why should he? Whenever someone clicks on one - he earns money!

    ReplyDelete
  27. And he earns it from the ad poster!!!! Johns getting paid by the mlm's. Icing baby! Thanks for your support YTB!

    ReplyDelete
  28. John can remove them whenever he wants - by why should he? Whenever someone clicks on one - he earns money!

    Hummm. Now that's revealing.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I don't believe you can remove them and continue to have your blog hosted at little or no cost.

    ReplyDelete
  30. He could remove them, but it would cost to host the blog. No biggie to let them stay. And as mentioned, YTB (and the others) pay each time one is clicked on...

    click, click, click...

    ReplyDelete
  31. YTB pays blogspot.com? click away....

    ReplyDelete
  32. Would someone go find Earl Allen Boeck at Roberts Resorts....he is an Internet pioneer and I am sure he cam impart some wisdom on tis issue!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Use of blogspot is ad-free. They just put the navbar at the top.

    http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=41345

"How do I create a blog that Blogger will host for free?"

and there is a section on removing the Google adsense code.

"How do I remove my AdSense code?"
    http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=42535&topic=12495

    It's all there on Blogger.com.

No need to wake up Earl.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Well, John is just a blog starter on this web. He is not the owner of the company that provides this website for John or anyone else to post their blogs. John does not control the ads... nor does he get paid when an ad is clicked.

    ReplyDelete
  35. "nor does he get paid when an ad is clicked."

    From google.com/adsense

"Earn money from relevant ads on your website

Google AdSense matches ads to your site's content, and you earn money whenever your visitors click on them."

    Proud, go to blogger.com.
Sign up for a FREE account.
Create a blog and publish it on blogspot.

You will see NO Google ads.

Sign up for Adsense - see link above.

Read the blogger help to add your own adsense code to your blog.

You can then earn money too.

The Adwords buy pays for the ad to appear on Google's network. They pay PER CLICK.

The adsense member gets a cut of that money, Google gets the rest.

    ReplyDelete
  36. oh i know how adsense works, i was just pointing it out, thought it was a little funny

    ReplyDelete
  37. This blog is with Blogspot - Blogspot provides it for free and Blogspot makes money on the adds....not John

    ReplyDelete
  38. "This blog is with Blogspot - Blogspot provides it for free and Blogspot makes money on the adds....not John"

    FALSE.

Try it yourself, sign up for a free blogger account, create a blog, and see if blogspot puts Google ads on it.

    IT DOESN'T.

    Here's a few examples:
