All Sorts Of Strange News

Apparently Coach and Ted have kissed and made up. Ted has posted this cryptic announcement on his website. Not sure if they are working together or "working together".

Over the past week Coach Tomer and I have taken the opportunity to communicate openly and frankly about our past friendship and about the future of YTB. We are in agreement as to what must be done to make YTB become what we and others originally intended when YTB began in 2001, that YTB be the biggest and best network marketing company ever and the largest travel company ever. We found that our friendship of over 20 years was still strong, our thinking very much alike as before and our vision of YTB’s future as it was before, strong and boundless in scope.

Coach and I have decided to work together to continue building YTB together. We have renewed our collaboration to build YTB. There is much to do. My concerns have been addressed and I am satisfied that everything which must be done is being done and done well. Coach and I have resolved to communicate with each other more often and more effectively in the future and, especially on my part, to be patient as the coordination of the many aspects necessary to continue YTB’s growth and success are put in place.

  2. I find this very interesting. It seems like Ted leaped before he looked, and found that YTB really is moving forward in the right direction, and once again wants to be a part of it.

  3. Wow the newest soap opera on the planet... "As the YTB turns". These guys don't know which way to go. Oh yeah Proud, now everything is good, just when you were saying Ted was just a old man that needed money? MAKE UP YOUR MIND.

  4. With YTB you are either with them or against them. It does not matter if you flip flop more times than John Kerry in a political race.

  5. Looks like the lawman realized that a free house and a constant salary were better than foraging in the forest for clients . . .

I mean after what he did publicly - do you think that any other mlm would seek him out to be their counsel?

    NOT!!!

Well - now they can concentrate on having RCCL and IATA rescind their erroneous decisions and move on to make '08 GREAT!

John - just think - without your crack reporting and columnist work - we just wouldn't have any comics to read. Nice work . . .

    YTB, YTB, YTB . . .

  6. Thanks for posting this John.

I regards to it being a “cryptic” message, I can help decode it for you.

“The day after I posted my Stockholder Letter I became aware that YTB had expanded into International Markets and was cleared to move into the Bahamas on January 11th.

YTB's executive and legal teams have been working diligently with the regulatory bodies without me to ensure that the Company meets or exceeds the standards here in the US, Canada, Bahamas and Bermuda. Heck, YTB International is now recognized as a bonded travel agency in Canada and will add three offices in Canada.

    Who knew?

Therefore I have decided to withdraw my unsubstantiated claims and try to salvage my good name as being “The Premiere MLM Attorney”

    Sorry for the “misunderstanding”. ;-P

    Ted”

    Does that help?

  7. What it looks like is that someone at YTB didn't want Lindauer to take the Stockholder action he was planning and basically have paid him off. He has a settlement and he is now not allowed to say negative things, and was surely forced into issuing a positive statement. All very predictable...

Yes, the stock went up as a result.

  8. "Paid him off?" An attorney that everyone here lauded as being his own man, seeing ytb for what it was and so forth - now, you say he was "paid" off? Too funny . . .

I would imagine he missed the fat check, was told to vacate the house and really started to miss being part of something great - so, he went back.

A new COO was announced on Friday - maybe that had something to do with it? Who knows? Who cares really?

Coach has a forgiving heart and it shows. Heck - I've dogged ytb for years and if I went to Coach and asked him to pay my way into ytb - I bet he would . . .

    Too funny . . .

Nope, a very, very smart attorney who knew how to put the screws to Tomer. Probably walked away with the deed to the house and a BIG fat check in return for pulling his suit.

  11. Markets are closed today....

New COO---not so much Tom. It was more a change of initials for Cauthen. No one new there. It is the same ole boys!

  12. A little off topic, but this audio is worth listening to.

Dr. Bob Seligman, PhD (& New YTB RTA)PhD in Economics (Oxford)
    MBA in Finance (Harvard)

Former Senior VP of Corporate Development for Fox, Inc.

Reported Directly to Billionaire Barry Dillar(Owner/CEO of Expedia, Inc.)

This is an opportunity to hear what a new, peer RTA found as a prospective business owner in YTB following his exhaustive investigation that only a few in this country would have even known how to do. Dr. Seligman has seen everything in the book, had all the resources and questions to ask that the rest of us would have never known to or thought of to ask. With his extensive understanding of what this industry represents and is going through, prior to coming onboard, he investigated this Company for six months; evaluating it from the perspective of him hypothetically buying the company personally to help him determine whether he should get involved with YTB as an RTA. Lets see what he found and why YTB has is undivided attention! This call is going to give everyone in your business as well as your prospective business owners an opportunity to gain some scope on what a significant, unprecedented opportunity YTB is and why NOW is SO IMPORTANT!

    Listen to the Call here.

  13. Interestingly, you can't find anything about him on the internet (at least first two pages returned by Google) EXCEPT one entry linked to YTB.... hmmm.....?

Scorekeeper, please find a reference linking him to FOX (and I assume you mean television) and or referencing his academic degrees that is not self-reported...

    hmmm.....

  14. CTA in MD. I could not find anything on Google either. The introduction on the interview says he wasa former Senior VP of Corporate Development for 20th Centuary Fox and also a former Executive Director of the Screen Actors Guild. I wish we could find a bio some where.

  15. TRust me - if that were true it would be out there pretty plainly. I've crossed paths with some very convincing people in the past that claimed all sorts of job experience and relationships - not of which were true. But they had some very intelligent people completely boon-doggeled

    "TRust me"

How can I trust you if I can't Google you. LOL

But if what you are saying about Dr. Bob comes to be true, it won't take long for John or Doug to discredit or credit the fellow. No one is going to boondoggle these old boys.

  17. Actually, if i revealed my name, you could "google" me and you would find press releases, etc. Surely a person claiming the credentials and past employment this guy does, has had at least one press release upon being hired? It's pretty elementary... I do suspect he is at the very least "magnifying" his qualifications......

    Perhaps he was Diller's PA?

  18. Looks like RCC may be kissing and making up with YTB as well soon given the recent annoucement:

VICKI FREED will be Royal Caribbean International's new senior vice president of sales. Royal Caribbean announced Friday afternoon that Freed, who has spent 29 years at Carnival Cruise Lines, including 15 years as its senior vice president of sales and marketing, would head up Royal Caribbean's 345-person sales force. Freed also will manage the line's trade support and services division, which includes reservations, group sales, customer service and loyalty programs. She will report to Royal Caribbean President Adam Goldstein.

  19. Dream on Marci - and "don't count your chickens until they're hatched".

That's the same wishful thinking as those who beleived that Lisa Bauer was "punished" or "demoted" when in fact she was PROMOTED.

  20. Wow Marci your awesome...never saw your name here before...if you believe that I have a island to sell you!!!

    Amazing!

    ALl snakes all three!

  22. Under a rock? Far from it! Actually, they are touring the country. Also, they will be heading to the Canada office for the grand opening!

  23. I hear the temperature in Canada is a lot colder than in the US---and snakes do not do well up there! Stay tuned for some insight on that move!

  24. I can't wait to hear how you're going to spin this...

You keep talking and YTB still keeps growing! :)

BTW... if you didn't check this out yet, I suggest you do.

  26. Something I also find interesting...

Clicking on the YTB Reports URL john so graciously provided for us all to view, I went down the list of BBB complaints. did you know that in the past 36 months, Travelocity, orbitz, expedia and priceline has a total of complaints in the THOUSANDS while in the same time period, YTB only had 41 complaints? hundreds of the T,O,E, and P complaints are still not resolved. YTB has resolved 33 of their 41... which still leaves only 12 left.

I'm sure you'll find a way to try and spin this too.

  27. Hey John, I'm not Kevin. He's a level 3 director. I'm level 1. Big difference. you can call me kevin if you want to though. It would be a great compliment.
