- On October 17th, I learned the average Power Team leader in YTB earns $1325 a month! Also the average Coaches Corner member earns $5465 per month, and the average YTB Director earns $29,187 per month!

ReplyDeleteI saw the post about tax deductions, and also noted that the poster mentioned that she had been in debt to the IRS for the last 10 years. It's nice to know she had some personal experience to draw from.
This woman is THE poster child for why travel agents have such a huge issue with YTB. If we were going to hand out an award for person who is the biggest embarassment to the industry, I believe she would win. What the hell was she doing handing out her business cards telling people she's a travel agent in the same place people were buying vibrators? How professional!

As a YTB RTA and REP, her blog seriously troubles me. Kate, i will argee entirely when you stated that she is the reason many of you have an issue with YTB. I can say personally, that these people are being weeded out. From a YTB standpoint, it is important that you realize that this is not the way of the company or the overwhelming majority of the REPS and RTAs in YTB. John is actually doing a tremendous service for the company by pointing them out.

ReplyDeleteJosh, her site and tactics is all too common in YTB. It IS the majority. This type of crap has been all over blogs, craigslist, linkedin and the internet. If you think it's not you are sadly misinformed. The other issue is the behavior on fam trips and using them for FREE VACATIONS. When in fact fam trips are working trips. They are NOT vacations. I am also disgusted at the way YTB are telling people they can avoid foreclosure by joining them. That is NOT true either. They are using the economy and people's hardships to recruit. Then there is the blatant recruiting of mentally disabled individuals who don't know any better. It is the majority. The good YTB Reps/RTA's are in the minority. That is why we are upset! Duh!
Just a comment to those that are claiming this type of behavior is in the minority.

If you meet someone at a rally, you do not know what happens when they leave. So you really cannot make claims that this woman is the minority.
I am not saying she is the majority, but there is a year of posts here showing that this is indeed an issue.
Remember, there were 306,000 Reps and 138,000 RTAs at one point. So are you telling me that you personally know 200,000 people and how they operate their business?
What speaks voluimes is that this woman is allowed to continue without any intervention or reprimand from YTB. On one hand they say they will take corrective action--the other says well she did recruit someone so I guess we can get to it tomorrow.
The fact that YTB has not pulled her site and their lack of action on this blog indicates acceptance!

ReplyDeleteThis is ironic ... most of those "other companies" that do home parties are MLM ... and I know for a fact their independent contractors are told NOT to comingle MLM opportunities at the same home party ... and in many instances they're told not to promote ANY other business at all during home parties. So TM's suggestion to "offer to assist" is a blatant intrusion on someone else's bussiness

This is the time of year to set up your group cruises for the spring time. So you can give people at least 6 months to pay on the trip. Taking a cruise will not make you go broke. You set up payment plan and it is that easy. Gas prices are down that means airline prices for the spring are going to be down. They will probably still charge per bag they don't think that is going anywhere no time soon. But I did read don't overstuff a big bag because they will get you on weight so you are better off having one bag each and a carry on.
They are like the Post Office charge by the pound (lol)

ReplyDeleteTraveling Mom, when confronted with the misinformation that she posted about the "lower airfares" seems to have changed her blog. Figures. The fact that the airlines are reducing capacity, thereby having the effect of RAISING airfares in the long run, has been all over the news for months now, seems to not have made a difference to her one bit, and she posted the misinformation anyway. Only when caught at it did she make the change. Doug, on his blog, says they're damned if they do, and damned if they don't make corrections. Well, in this case, there are no excuses, since it HAS been all over the news. She is also idiot enough to think that having parts of her blog reproduced on the website YTBTruth is a "good" thing. This is truly a woman who needs to educate herself on what the hell is going on. She has no clue.
ReplyDeleteIn her latest entry, she takes a lesson from Firemedic, and does some bashing of ytb rival Traverus, and again at this blog. I just love how these people will cry how they are the victim whenever anyone criticizes them, but the first chance they get, they start slinging the mud. At least Fire doesn't contradict himself, by posting something, and then within hours goes back and revises it or removes it totally. Have to give him props for that.
As for Traveling Mom, this woman needs to be stopped. She has been reported to ytb multiple times, yet ytb has yet to do anything about it, despite what Kim Sorenson stated yesterday in the TW teleconference. If they’re serious about “policing” what they’re people are doing, and dealing with it, then why haven’t they done something about this person?
Maybe the YTB Police (Kim said he had an entire staff for this) is preparing to load up the Lear and go to Baltimore for the show next week.
