  1. The stock price is actually a good thing, just like loosing IATA and getting sued by the California AG.
This also means that traveling moms and her broke friends can buy a couple shares too.
See. Everything that happens at YTB is good.

  2. I think the YTBer's need to open the window and get a little fresh air and clear out the cobwebs. Have you guys even looked at the news? People are having trouble buying groceries - they aren't gonna be traveling like they have in the past for quite some time. Even if they can get $10 off by booking through their own website.

And if given a choice between booking with a professional or booking with a company that accepts the likes of the oh so educated Traveling Mom - not much of a contest there!

  3. And it keeps going down, while other travel related stocks are going up.

  4. Firemedic over on his blog, when it was pointed out to him by someone that ytb’s stock is tanking, responded “Have you seen the stock market lately? Everyone is tanking. No doubt the stock has gone down. That's why I bought 4000 shares!” He also makes a point to say something about RCCL stock versus CCL.

Well, not everyone is tanking there, Fire. I follow travel related stocks, in particular airline stocks. I also have RCCL and CCL on my list. Lets take a look at how they’re doing, as of 12:58pm CDT.

Wow, it seems that the airlines and RCCL are having a great day, all up, and the MLM type companies and the one that openly supports that business model are all down. The things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmm.

  5. Maybe the stock will go back up to $8.50 since they announced the following:

YTB International Inc. said Thursday it hired James Tackett as its chief marketing officer.

Tackett has produced and consulted for Avon, Nikken, Herbalife, Pre-Paid Legal, Shaklee and Primerica.

He has also produced various broadcast, syndicated television shows and in-flight programming for United Airlines.

The Wood River, Ill.-based online travel agency has come under fire from California's attorney general and former agents, who claim in lawsuits that the company is a pyramid scheme that makes more money off recruiting new agents than it does off booking travel.

The company, also known as YourTravelBiz.com, dismisses that allegation.

  6. Do a Google search on the Tackett guy. No hits. You would think that if he had "produced various broadcast and syndicated television shows", he'd have some sort of Google entry.

  7. Absolutely amazing! So now you are out to discredit Tackett? And if you don't find it on google it must not be true! Just like Seligman, can't find anything on google so he is a fraud! Thank God for Ainsworth! Purveyor of fine travel and ridding the world of travel mlms!

  8. Oh, and stock analyst!

  9. So much for FireMedic being civil. Not one word addressed to him, yet here he is, casting aspersions. Yet, you go read his blog and he is the acme of politness and gentilness.

  10. Eh, I just consider the source. Firemedic doesn't like it when his errors are pointed out, and he likes to throw temper tantrums. It's to be expected. He likes things his way, and with his little blog, he has some semblence of control. Like right now, his last comment to me over there was something about being 2 faced and how I talk to people, blah, blah, blah and that people could see how I really am by reading what I write on here. I responded to him that I talk to everyone the same way as I write here, be they clients, family, friends, etc. I did this several hours ago, and he has yet to post it. I guess he thinks it will make me look bad by appearing as if I did not or could not respond to him.

Hey, FM, still waiting on confirmation of the meeting your setting up!

  11. FM--no one said Tackett was a fraud. We all say Seligman is.

The criticism is not toward Tackett, but to YTB who, rather than hire a marketing person with travel experience, hires someone that knows nil about travel. Sort of strange for a "travel" company don't you think.

But since you brought up Seligman, there was PLENTY of investigation done on him and he is a fraud. He is a marketing ploy made up by Arcurso (is it Mike?)one of your directors. Here is a challenge for you. provide ANY documentation that will substantiate Seligman's existence and 25% of the crap YTB has said he has accomplished.

Hint: My first clue was the very first appearance of the "Doctor" was a copy of his resume provided by him. In it he said he worked for Barry Dillar as his right hand man. Well right hand men know how to spell their boss's name--especially if it is Barry Diller!

  12. I am really surprised firemedic aka fake john has the audacity to show his face around here after we outed him and he was exposed for his Traverus blog. He has dissed Traverus pretty good. Probably because they are threatening his downline. What is more amusing is the fact he puts on a puppy dog, you hurt me attitude here when we call him on something and then he goes on and bashes his competition mercilessly....

  13. Tackett doesn't have travel experience, but definitely looks like he has MLM experience (Avon, Primerica) and that's probably what endeared him to YTB.
