YTB's Response To NCL

The following notice was just sent to Coach's Corner members 30 minutes ago.
Important Notice re: Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL)

YTB Travel Network has been advised that Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has elected to discontinue accepting new reservations from YTB or its agents. More than a year ago NCL elected not to renew YTB's contract and reduced commissions by almost 40% to our RTAs - thus the decreased sales activity. NCL offers an excellent product and the dissolution of our relationship is unfortunate, however NCL is not a Preferred Supplier of YTB.

During these difficult economic times it is important that YTB and our Affiliates and RTAs focus on our Preferred Suppliers (such as Carnival)
for all of our travel needs. A complete list of YTB's Preferred Suppliers is accessible from your Travel Portal.

All commissions owed by NCL to YTB for any passengers who booked prior to January 20, 2009 will be paid to YTB. All existing reservations booked prior to January 20 will be serviced as per the usual course of business for final payment. Of course YTB will continue to provide service to the passengers booked prior to January 20.

If you have any questions about any vendor on this list, please contact YTB's Travel Support.

Thank you.

  2. I don't have pity for the sheep. If anyone still stays in YTB after all that has been going on they deserve what they get

  3. I think it's interesting that NCL chose to reduce their commissions, and then NCL chose to terminate the relationship. There are certainly agencies who very rarely sell NCL, but they are not cutting ties with them. This has nothing to do with YTB's sales, and everything to do with their business practices.

  4. So the news finally got out to the Coaches COrner members. Now you know what the Directors have been keeping under wraps for a whole week.
    Breaking News... HA HA!
They let you know things when they they want to know... Breaking news... nice try John.

  5. Who cares if it's breaking news or not. The fact of the matter is they terminated YTB and they are not the first. If I were you I would be looking for a Plan B.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Why should I look for a plan b?
    I am not in YTB.
    You sure do ASSume alot.

  7. Travel Agent-Why are you defending YTB when you are in GTI? Isn't GTI another MLM. LOL! Are you in both or what is the story? How's the weather in Florida BTW?

  8. Hey Fake Travel Agent in GTI you might want to read this site about your wonderful company. And you have the audacity to post here and crow??? Really ROTFLMAO. Thanks for the laugh.

    http://homebasedtravelagentsblog.typepad.com/my_weblog/

You need to change that to Fake Travel Agent or how about Wannabe Travel Agent or Phoney Travel Agent.

  9. Florida's nice... Wish YOU were here, huh?
What makes you think I defend YTB?
I have been an agent for over 8 years with Global.
My checks have never been late.
Neither has my mortgage or car payment.

Why would you call me FAKE?
Anybody who has to add the word REAL to their name has some definite self image issues.
You might be able to get that treated with prescribed pharmaceuticals.

A REAL TRAVEL PRO... hmmm? sounds like a fancy title for a traveling escort (PRO)

  10. You work for a fake travel agency. That's why you are a fake. ROTFLMAO!

  11. Hey "Travel Agent", question for ya. You say you are with GTI, which is an MLM, and you think it's wonderful, and you can make all kinds of fundage that way. If that's all true, why do you have a mortgage and car payment? Seems to me like you should be able to pay everything off.

I know why people call you fake, it's because you're a nasty, piss-poor excuse for a human, and you have to fake it! You also have a filthy mouth, filthy enough where you post things, and then ahve to go back and remove them (see above, where It had to delete something).

And if you're not in ytb, how do YOU know what the directors know or don't know? IRIS, YOU HAVE BEEN BUSTED AGAIN!

  12. Veronica my dear, you are the one with the trashy mouth. Do you really want me to post the emails you sent to me?

I have made no mentions of the "FUNDAGE" GTI has provided me. That is your ASSumesion my dear.
What I said was I had been with them for over 8 years and had never missed a payment on a mortgage or car note. That does not mean that I still have a mortgage or car note.
I no longer have a car note, but I do have a mortgage, its just not on my primary residence.
I carry a mortgage on my summer home and a condo. As an individual who is paying interest that is a tax deduction to me. As a mortgage holder of my own mortgage, It;'s income for my business. I never claimed to be a TRAVEL PRO.
I book trips for my company and enjoy the commissions for my own travel. I have even used the IATAN card a couple of times to fly to my condo in Italy. I am not getting rich off of travel... It's ALL PERKS. Maybe if you have an accountant worth his salt you could make some REAL money some day. It sure as hell ain't going to be in travel though. Eggs have to be placed in many, many baskets. GTI is a hobby and a tax write for me. If I had to depend on it for substance, I'd be working and broke like the rest of you losers on this blog.
But I have a LIFE... Why don't you get one?

  13. I thought Veronica was quite amusing also... Thanks for the support.

  14. "Travel Agent", are you referring to the e-mails where I called you mean, nasty names like pus-filled syphalitic {vulgar word for a female anatomy part}? See, I'm not afraid of owning up to what I say!

So, you're telling us, by your above post that you're in travel for nothing but the perks, like most of peple in travel MLM's, huh? Smart move. And you're also tellng us that you're not good enough at any one thing to make any amount of REAL money, and you have to work severla businesses. Again, typical of MLMers.

I do make plenty of money in travel, enough money that I have NO mortgages on either my primary residence or my vacation plaec. I also own both my cars outright, and pay my credit card bills in full each month. And to think, that I am able to do that only working like you MKMer's do in travel, part time! I think your the one that needs a decent accountant. You need a dictionary too. Evidently you don't have much of a life, considering how much time you spend posting on forums on the internet!

  15. Bravo, my dear.
    Quite a performance.
I am not in any mlm other than GTI.
I operate a finance company, a mortgage company, an investment company as well as an moving company.
If you pay everything off, then you money is not working for you. I let others pay my things off for me. My money works for me.
It sounds like you work for money.
What purpose does having both residences paid off serve? My primary residence is a liability because its paid for. My others are assets because they pay for themselves. I dont work to pay for them... They pay me. I have Assets.. and you my dear have liabilities. Go talk to your accountant... he can straighten you out.

  17. You know, using objectionable language and getting into "mine's bigger than yours" matches does not put anyone in a good light. Everyone could stand to review their posts before they hit that Post Comment button...

  18. "I have even used the IATAN card a couple of times to fly to my condo in Italy. I am not getting rich off of travel... It's ALL PERKS."

I would like to know how an IATAN card can fly you to Italy?

As to the perks the suppliers have been cracking down and basing it on actual sales. Nice try.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I provide employment for over 200 individuals. When they travel, business or leisure, I book it for them. I have plenty of ACTUAL SALES...
The IATAN card permits the holder...ME.... 2 tickets per year at 70% off face value... of course you know this because you are a travel agent PRO. And I have not found anyone cutting back on perks. Most of the hotel and cruise staff know me by first name. They know how many people I put on their ships and in their hotel rooms. The PERKS are REAL my friend.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Sure Travel Agent aka Iris we believe you. NOT! ROTFLMAO! You are full of it. How gullible do you think we are?

Oh and it's real funny that you have so many people working for you and so much to book that you spend most of your day on here.

    ReplyDelete
  21. "Travel Agent", you sure show how much you DON'T know. If you're using your IATAN card to get an AD70, you're paying way too much for your ticket. If you're flying overseas, you can get a much cheaper ticket through a consolidator, or just buy a discounted ticket from the airline. Those are always less expensice than an AD ticket, which is always off full fare. And with all the airlines in the world that offer AD fares, why are you only getting 2 per year?

When you talk about my house being a liability, again, you show that you don't know crap. See, I live in the only state of the country that has the lowest unemployment rate, and our unemployment rate is far BELOW the national average. Property values are going UP, not down like the rest of the country. The only thing you're doing is paying interest on a loan, a big loan, a loan that I don't hve.

Why do you have to have so many businesses? See, I only work in travel, part time at that, and I make enough to have paid off 2 houses 2 decades early, pay cash for my cars, and pay off all my bills monthly, adn have a nice tidy sum in the bank at the end of the month. So, with your 4 businesses you're basically working 4 times as hard as me, to have exactly the same or less than I have. Now, who needs a good accountant?

  22. Travel agent-Busted.

Given the fact that you sent a bizarre, potty mouth email to a poster here AND the website you list on your google profile goes into the general GTI website my guess is there isn't a condo in Italy, 200 employees or an IATAN card you are flying on. You are a fraud. A wannabe. Not only a fraud but a freaking, raving lunatic who is only on here because you need crave attention. You are a sad, pathetic person.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Veronica sent the POTTY MOUTH email to me.

I may be pathetic, but I am by no means SAD.
The most pathetic thing I do is visit this site.
It's also one of the happiest things to see all of you get so upset over nothing.
I guess if I was poor and insecure, I'd get upset too.
    But I'm not!

Veronica, you may have paid off everything, but what you paid was to someone else.
    that = liability.

My company owns the property that I am paying for.
    That = ASSET my dear.

The money stayed with me and is earning more money. That = ASSET.

You paid someone else for your things and then pay taxes and insurance to someone else.
Those things COST you... Those are LIABILITIES.

You BOUGHT and paid for liabilities.
    Go see your accountant.
