YTB Forgot To Give Endless Journey The IATAN Memo

Apparently YTB has not spread the word about the loss of their accreditation with IATAN. Endless Journey Travel is apparently as clueless about YTB as they are about the travel industry in general. And judging from their RTA number, they are a relatively new addition to the YTB ranks. I wonder why YTB is not telling them the whole truth? Please extend warm wishes to the newest member of the D.A.D. And considering you are in Sacramento, CALIFORNIA--you may mow be changing your name to John Doe 79!

You surely must be ignorant and arrogant to think YTB is some illegal pyramid scheme and will simply go away because some within the traditional travel industry wishes so. YTB will continue to train and educate its sales force, and agents and will continue to build relationships with its vendors and customers. The travel industry does not solely belong to self proclaimed overseers, and surely the time has come for these truths to become self evident. I am proud to be network marketing professional and I have earned my CLIA credentials and working on my IATAN, of which several of our agents have already earned. Who do you think is now the #1 re-seller of Carnival Cruise Lines? Those who see a paradigm shift such as that, which YTB represents, have four choices: Ignore Ridicule, Oppose or Embrace. It is clear which you chose.

  1. I think this guy must be snorting the Kool-aid, or taking it in through an i.v.
The only thing he hasn't claimed is that he's earning $10,000 per week, but I am sure that will be next. Geeze. Where do they get these people?

  2. There is more....it gets more entertaining as the days go on!

  3. "Geeze. Where do they get these people?"

"These people" often used by people that have a mindset of "they are all the same but I am different". A mindset that separates the owner of having any human link to those they disagree with. Helps them to feel better about themselves and their view of how the world should be in their eyes. AKA.....arrogance.

  4. It would not surprise me if IATA filed suit against YTB for improper use of their name. But, hey, what's one more lawsuit?

  5. See Firemedic, you just confirmed my point.
YTB attracts people who have never been able to "make it" with their promises of wealth and security. People who can't even spell travel are welcome. 800 pound shut ins and the mentally challenged can join. Folks like Traveling Mom and Rod can even have a chance of being someone with YTB. YTB leads these people who have never been able to fit into the "norms" of society by filling them with false hopes of "living the dream." And where does it get them? Well for 90% that $499 and $50 per month gets them nothing. And yet these folks will defend YTB to the death because it's the one place where they have finally been able to fit in.
Does any of this make me feel better about myself. Well no. Why should it. It does however make me feel sorry for people who have been conned into believing that YTB is their salvation.

  6. can't travel be booked through Agent 19? If so, how long before YTB drops direct travel bookings and focuses solely on agent 19?

Who do you think is now the #1 re-seller of Carnival Cruise Lines?
    Pretty likely it's not YTB....

  7. I think there is a deal for the YTB "invites" on Aisle 19 that they not see a travel link. But yes you are correct, any other Aisle 19 user does have a travel link as well.

Interestingly enough, on that program, you need an "invite" but it seems that most 6 digit numbers will get you into the program.

  8. According to Traverus they sell the most Carnival Cruises. LOL!

If I had to guess it would be AVC not YTB or their pals at Traverus.

  9. I would say that Amex, AVC, TPI, AAA, and probably many others sell more than YTB. I bet even some of the larger agencies who do not count Carnival as a preferred supplier have more sales than YTB.

  10. TraVerus did NOT sell the most Carnival criuse packages. Whoever said that is wrong, misleading and NOT a statement made by the company. Probably someone who left YTB.
Real Travel Pro, mind posting a link please of the misguided person who said this?

  11. Wasn't it AVC who won the award last year?

Doesn't matter, the point is the newbie above apparently doesn't have a clue about whole YTB had their IATAN revoked and will never get it back. You would think these people would do a little research before joining a company...

And you just proved my point Kate. YOU are somehow a better human being than THEM (those YTBr's). As long as you and the rest of the posse here can demonize YTB and anyone affilliated with it, you get to feel better about your view of how the world and the world of travel should be. In the meantime you have to belittle someone else in order to be right. That is the theme of this site and you epitomized it accurately today. But hey, you get to feel good about yourself for being more human, skinnier, and smarter than all these people!

  13. Fireman---why not go look at your own blog. You know the one where you trash Traverus. http://traverus-integrity.blogspot.com

Let me swap a few words in your reply to Kate and see if might not be a case of the pot calling the kettle black as it relates to your own site:

  14. Fireman, Endless journey is using IATAN accredidation as a reason to join YTB. Are you agreeing with this? Does YTB agree with this? Are YOU using this tactic to enhance YOUR recruiting efforts? Your approval is tacit and consequently any good YTBers are lumped with the bad.

  15. This is wrong. Obviously the blog poster who says he is working toward IATAN is way off base. But, truth is, John and this blog are actually doing a service toward YTB by helping YTB police the RTAs and REPs who otherwise might have some problems. So, thanks John and keep it up.

  16. In his best Maxwell Smart voice: Ah yes, the old reverse psychology trick. Tell him we like it and he will stop it.

And switching to his best Detective Foster voice: Yeah, and we're not gonna fall for a banana in the tailpipe.

  17. Actually I really wasn't trying to get you to stop THESE types of posts. Most of the other ones I don't care for, but truly these pointing out random morons can only help in the long run.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Well with YTB, I have a long line of random morons to expose. 75 down, 303,578 to go!

  19. John there is a big difference in addressing the tactics or actions as opposed to addressing the personhood of someone. On this blog people are called "morons, idiots, dolts, wastes of skin,...." merely for being associated with YTB. All the while they are neglecting the plank in their own eye. Nice of you to try to rescue Kate though. That happens a lot on this blog.

Interesting. Each time I hear those names, I always think of you, Firemedic. Isn't it time for you to return to scam.com and spam it with your anti-TraVerus crap? And how come your site hasn't been removed since it's against YTB's policy? A good, wholesome, and wonderful person which you claim to be wouldn't be breaking any of the YTB Code of Ethics, now would they? Dolt!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Lol!

Case in point No Moron. I never claimed to be "wholesome" and "wonderful" person. Your words, not mine. I am human, therefore, fallible. Unlike John and the posse. Lol. Just kidding.
