I have been in YTB for 28 month and what we will be announcing and going "LIVE" with tomorrow is truly the most mind bending addition to the value of your position with the companyWell, I guess we will find out for sure tomorrow but I imagine it will be sold as something new and different. But at this point it sounds an awful lot like Market America (another MLM that has the term "scam" associated with it) which has been around for a LONG time.
I wonder if this is not a last ditch effort to retain the few RTAs that they have and preface an exit from travel? I wonder if their new potions, lotions and mall sales will be included in their "travel" sales for next year? But if they are actually selling more product and earning more income from product it may legitimize them a bit. But I think it is a little too late for Jerry Brown!
"But I think it is a little too late for Jerry Brown!"
ReplyDeleteI agree... Jerry should have gone after them years ago when he had a better chance at succeeding.
His political antics are getting old, and should consider himself lucky to have a job right now. If it weren't for his daddy, he would not have lasted this long. In short, he's a washed-up, tree-hugging, democratic, who is sour after failing to secure 3 presidential nominations.
I am in FULL agreement! It's A LITTLE TOO LATE for JERRY BROWN.
Isn't it obvious what this is all about??
ReplyDeleteYTB knows that they are in deep shit, and their days as a "travel" company are numbered. They are ALREADY transitioning to their next mlm. By using their current rtas they don't have to start from scratch when CLIA and ARC pull the plug. They will have their online shopping malls up and running. And you can bet your butt that all the YTBers will swear that it's a good thing, and they are glad they aren't selling travel any more.
Online MALL! Now that's a HOOT!
ReplyDeleteActually there is lady who works in my office building who swears that "COACH" made this announcement at a convention in St Louis over 2 years ago. She says its taken 2 years to get it all together.
Spare me the grief, Yes, i work with a RTA.
Let's ask around...
Did anybody else hear "COACH" make this announcement?
As for J Brown... He's a LEFT WING LOSER.
He's the reason for all the lawyer jokes.
Oh please, lawyer jokes date back to Shakespeare, don't give Jerry Brown the credit for that one. ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou might want to get all your facts strait about Market America. Market America is NOT a MLM business. It IS a network marketing business however the compensation plan does NOT pay on levels and never did. Since paying on levels DEFINES MULTI LEVEL MARKETING and since Market Ameerica does NOT pay on levels, it is, therefore, NOT a multi level marketing company. This is a fact and is not disputable. Unfortunately, many (uneducated) people associate all network marketing with MLM. If people associate the word "scam" with Market America, it is because those people are not educated as to the facts. I wish everyone well with their businesses and NEVER put others down. I also never state anything in writing unless I have the facts. It would be nice if everyone else was as respectful (or educated).
ReplyDeleteCiao
Yes - but what happens when an MLM company starts repping Market America. It is then defacto participating in a MLM as the availability of their products is used as a tool to recruit more reps!
ReplyDeleteHow will it be different from other 'malls' like My Power Mall and Aisle 19? They aren't doing anything new...I think they are getting away from travel.
ReplyDeleteI don't see them doing as well as they think. Not bashing, but just think about it: The stuff they already have on their sites right now... are they really selling that much from the 'other' products? Why would they have to keep adding on thousands of stores?
The whole 'mall' thing is saturated...YTB isn't taking advantage of any market shift. There sooo many of them already established (including Market Mall whether MLM or not) and has been doing it for some time. The only people that will be shopping in their malls are the RTAs and their families.
I used to be in MPM and the most difficult thing was to get people to shop there. Why? B/c the major store chains already have their store. People will shop there first, or drive to the store to get it.
But it's all speculation...we'll see where that goes...
I'm curious as to if they will change their name
Ms. Diva. It IS Aisle 19. YTB is giving the RTAs something that they can get for free and pretending it is something of value. Just like the WCT booking engine.
ReplyDeleteBut it does add value to Coach's pocket.
Aisle 19?? Interesting...so does that mean that Tomers will be their upline?
ReplyDeleteSo, are you a travel agent, or a grocer? A travel agent, or a used car salesman? Next it will be "can I get you some fries with that?" Geeze.
ReplyDeleteHey Kate, next it will be can I get you a vibrator with that all inclusive....
ReplyDeleteI smell jealousy in the air. A great business man adds products to his business. Ask the Donald. Ask any rich man. Just like google bought YOU TUBE so was they dumb for doing that no they are rich and you are not because thinking that way it will never happen for you.
ReplyDeleteLynette seems to be Traveling Mom. I had a suspicion when I read the "was they dumb" part. BTW Danielle Lynette, how are those dildos selling?
ReplyDeleteNMH, you are correct. Lynette IS Traveling Mom. Just follow the link to "her" profile, and there it is! Her multiple personality disorder meds must have stopped working, again.
ReplyDelete"Lynette" Danielle----the name of the company is your TRAVEL biz. Get it, TRAVEL. What does Aisle 19 have to do with TRAVEL?
I agree with the above post. Market America is NOT an MLM and certainly is NOT a scam. My wife and I have been in Market America for about six years now and, as National Supervising Coordinators, have built up to six-figure annual residual income. We've cleared $100,000 for both 2007 and 2008. Market America has already paid out $1.6 billion in commissions and retail profits (documented) in its 14-year history to people like us. Under new partnerships with multi-billion dollar companies that believe in what we are doing, including Google and now Microsoft, is only getting started. Many radically different companies with MLM platforms like YTB have been trying to mimic our mall concept. But we are still the biggest and the best with over 50 million products and services, far surpassing Amazon.com. No one, especially YTB, with its' stock trading for pennies, has the cash, the big partnerships, or the technology to catch us. No one should assimulate Market America with frivolous MLM copycat companies, like a YTB or a Cyberwize, or with other YTB-style MLM platforms, i.e. Quixstar/Amway, Shaklee, Herbalife, etc. that have dismal track records as far as ever producing any significant income for significant numbers of people.
