Not A Record But....

Well by no means a record, but YTB apparently did act pretty fast and have the blog removed. Is anyone surprised?'

But as long as YTB is reading this blog, let me help you with a list of other blogs that are a direct violation of your December 15, 2008 TSO Rules. If you can't find your copy (or if it might be in a California courtroom today), send me an email and I can send you a copy. There has been some suggestion that you are selectively allowing blogs. I tend to agree. But in case you are not, here is a list you can begin to work on.

  1. Interesting list. I emailed most of that same list to the compliance email more than a week ago. I wonder why they are still active?

  2. Steve, probably because, according to my source in the compliance office, "The YTB Offices were closed several days for the holidays over the last two weeks and there has not been any random online audits conducted over the holiday weeks."

Um, yeah. With this amount of sites out there, and the fact that a DIRECTOR posted confidential information a full 18 days AFTER the new policies went into effect, I wonder how often those "random online audits" are actually being done.

  3. Oops! I made a comment on my blog about YTB... Maybe you can add me to the list too!

    Good grief.

  4. VacationMachine---nah, you already got out of YTB. They have no hold on you like they now do. Had you stuck around you too could be bound by a 67 page document that essentially signs away your entire business to YTB.

But they are selectively allowing certain "favorite Reps and RTAs" to do and say as they please and punishing others.

  5. You have WAY too much time on your hands...
And you might want to actually check these sites before you post them. Some are actually bashing YTB. Although I did not see your on the list.

When do you find the time to ever accomplish anything? I dont understand how you can be booking any trips and selling travel when all you ever do is look for ways to demean and belittle others.

It's not attractive. You're hurting the GOOD name of TTA's.

    This one you can remove.

  7. Good name of TTA's!
    Now thats a HOOT!

They lost their respect years ago when the airlines pulled the commissions.
That was just the beginnings of their downfalls.

Now John is helping to finish off any chance of a respectable comeback they ever had.

    TWO HOOTS for INTERNET TRAVEL!
    HOOT! HOOT!

Um, do you think that John is the only person that does the research looking for these sites? And just how much time do you think it takes to find them? Google is your friend. It takes Google less than 0.5 seconds to return over 50,000 sites.

Actually, I did go through the list, checking the sites, and ALL of them seem to be hyping ytb. Also, out of the 70 that John has listed here, I found only 16 that are either dead or don't have an immediate, obvious connection to ytb. That leaves 54 active, pro- ytb sites out there from the above list. 54 sites that took me less than half an hour to check out, yet the ytb compliance office can't seem to find them.

go back and do your homework again, I found 3 mistakes in your due diligence.
Go back and check again, you'll find them...
Report back when you found your mistakes...

  10. I'll give you a hint: here's one of the 3 that is not PRO-YTB

  11. Hey TravelAgent--did you read the site? Looks like he was a YTB zealot (under Tim Draayer). Then bailed on YTB for Traverus, and now realizes that MLM and Travel is a Bad Mix!

A poster blog for this blog!

But yes, scroll down and you will see it (at one time) was very much a pro-YTB blog.

So YOU THINK this is a site that YTB should close down? I thought your list was of CURRENT YTBers who were in VIOLATION of the new rules.

    Are you LOSING FOCUS?
    A little AADD are we?
A good Therapist can prescribe something for
    that loss of FOCUS ISSUE.

  13. Nah, contrary to what you think, I did not spend time the day of this post finding these. It is amazing technology that allows you to cut and paste from prior notes.

I am disappointed that you would just cut and paste anything without doing your DUE DILIGENCE.

Now we have have to wonder about all your other POSTS... Do you just CUT and PASTE on the FLY At will...
Just anything whether its TRUE or NOT, just to have SOMETHING to put on this BLOG?

I am so Disappointed in you.
You have really let me down.
I was beginning to be your #1 FAN.

  15. Glad I could disappoint---feel free to leave. But here's some more disappointment for you. It was not a random cut and paste, it was from my file not the web, so yes they are all valid sites that at one time recently were pro YTB.

Sorry if some of them have determined YTB is a sham and ran to Traverus (now THAT has to be a disappointment for you) or just quit on their own or even were unfortunate enough to have legal come down on them. But in order to keep your site up, you need to be sitting on Coach's lap in the Coach's Corner and making sure Coach is happy.

It's a noble calling for some I suppose.
