Get into heaven for only $495 and $50.00 per month!

When I was a little kid, I used to get God and Santa Claus mixed up. They both had a beard. They both got talked about a lot around Christmas. They both gave some kind of gifts. They both lived far away. And you had to be really good or you got into a lot of trouble with both of them. They both knew exactly what you were doing all the time.

Now that I am a grown up, I don’t get the two confused any more. So I am perplexed as to why so many people seem to have YTB mixed up with God.

Ever since the crap hit the fan in California, we’ve seen a staggering number of posts, all claiming that even through the State of California, the State of Illinois, the Better Business Bureau, and a raft of other organizations all seem to be having some trouble with the way YTB runs its business, God himself is still firmly behind the wheel.

Let me show you a couple of examples of things we’ve seen posted this week by YTB members.

“It is a rock solid company with the favor of God upon it”

And this...

“There are so many people out there who want and NEED financial
FREEDOM... how can we not stay focused on the task God has given us?”

And my favorite...

“This company is no different than Jesus. He was ridiculed, scorned,
talked about and everything else. So is YTB. But being built on the
foundation of God's principles I truly believe that God has His hands on
this company”

There are many more, but I think you get the point. If, in fact, YTB is the honorable company they would all like us to believe, then why the desperate attempt to make us believe that the big man upstairs is behind the whole thing? Why can’t this company and their members survive on their own merit, without using God as their celebrity endorsement?
I just learned that YTB actually had a class at their most recent convention about how to use God to recruit, and how much YTB is just like God! I found this on a YTBer's blog.
"My First class was with Level 2 Director Von Nickleberry. Entilted "The Believer and YTB; Build Your Biz the Christian Way". Von shared his testimony interwoven in showing the siilarities of network marketing and the creation of the early church. He shared how it is possible foe Beleivers to be successful in Network Marketing. "
No more having to worry about how to get into heaven. You can now buy your way in just by joining YTB. All major credit card accepted.

  1. It's interesting to read the locals comments over on the Alton Telegraph site. One comment was Coach paid off the mortgage for some Church in town and then recruited in that Church.

    From Godfrey Girl:
"There is a church in Alton who supports YTB, and is supported by YTB. Coach Tomer helped pay off it's mortgage. In fact, the last time I visited this church, there was no sermon, just a YTB rah-rah session. The membership of the church is divided because everyone wants a piece of the pie. It is a SAD day when Christ and Christian living is replaced with greed. And any church that tells you that God wants you to get rich to give more to Him is blasphemous. You aren't giving your money to God, you're giving it to a building and proud people who call themselves a "ministry team". Wake up... If your minister is buff, tan, and wearing Tommy Bahama shirts it's time to pull out your bible and start from the beginning...

    And, my favorite:
“Illegal is illegal, and the law will deal with this in due fashion. Playing on people's desires to achieve a close and loving relationship to God in order to advance your pocketbook is an evil of a different sort. When a person deems to get involved in illegal "get rich quick schemes", please do not do it in the good Lord's name" or at the expense of others. Perhaps now is the time to pray for God's forgiveness and return your ill-gotten gains to those from whom you have stolen.God will soon enough clear your multi-million dollar office building which is housing a den of thieves.”

Both of these quotes are from the Alton Telegraph.

  2. Whats even better, is that apparently a certain poster believes that all other religions are "false religions or cults". So basically if your not a Christian, your crap. That's how I take it.

Who the hell are you people to decide that? Last I checked your not god, and unless you have his phone number where I can personally call and check that fact..because your all about fact checking, you shouldn't say such things. Its insulting to people who have their own religions and don't shove them in everyones face on a daily basis.
