  2. I have a serious question. The title of this blog is: MLMs and Travel: A Bad Mix.

Why is it that I hear nothing about TraVerus, World Ventures, Coastal, etc etc etc? Just YTB.

    :-/

  3. Humble, not sure what the point is on your link. All it is is a blank screen. Maybe apropos...who knows?

As to why not Traverus et al, that is easy. First off, Traverus, World Ventures, Joystar, YTB, etc are all the same. They are all equally deserving of the criticism.

SO why YTB. Simple. They are by far the largest and have unleashed over 300K people to essentially do and say what they please to close the deal. They even invent fictitious Doctors to endorse them!

We have heard YTB has sold 1 billion so far this year, is on track to sell a billion ,and did sell a billion last year. We have heard about the average RTA that sells $100K in travel each year. A director in FL told me she made $100K in commissions from selling travel (only to backtrack when she realized that commissions were not he same as sales), the list goes on.

The others also make those claims, but because YTB is so large, so loud, so egocentric, they get the heat.

And they are publicly traded so a lot of their info is available to review that is not available with a closely held company.

So when some yahoo RTA from South Carolina tells me that he is an average RTA and is selling $100K in travel, I can call bullshit and say if that is so, YTB woudl have sold $13 billion (If my math is right) and we all know that is not right. The $141 is not even attributable to the RTAs...they only sold $211M.

So while the Reps and RTAs come out with all sorts of misleading information and claims, the others are quietly sitting back and growing at a quiet pace.

  4. First of all, don't comment on everything an RTA says. They make mistakes like everyone else, including you. The travel that was sold in 2007 was NOT $141 million, but rather $414 million.

And I guess you're not hanging in the right places. TraVerus for one, I know to be a fact, are the most arrogant reps out there!! And ask, how much travel they have sold. I haven't gotten a response to that one yet.

Sorry, if you couldn't watch Coach's Call. I'm sure you have by now. As I've said, it's you all here who the last laugh will be on! =)

PS: I eliminated the last post because I made a mistake!!! Oh my!

  5. SOrry My Bad...I mean t $414M and the RTAs only sold $211M of that. And to boot, if we could even get an answer about 2006 sales, it appears that the RTA sales may have indeed gone down.

According to anyone in YTB the RTAs sold $226M last year, and this year is is $211M

Hmmm, maybe you ought to look into a different line of work like maybe cell phones!

  6. Nope, I'm happy here. Thanks for the suggestion though. Any other line of work would just be an additional stream.
