Oh, Behave!

Not only did YTB just experience the lowest week of recruiting since at least October of 2007*, apparently the kids are misbehaving again:

Growing your business is crucial to your success, and YTB does its best to assist. There are situations, however, where aggressively sharing the business is inappropriate, and YTB asks you to refrain. One such situation is any location where prospects are on vacation, especially on cruise ships. Another is approaching a travel supplier for any reason other than booking travel. Never try to recruit a supplier's employees when calling to book travel!

It is also inappropriate to solicit at travel trade shows. (An exception is when this activity is confined to a booth rented by an RTA.) Trade shows are educational events and the other attendees are peers, not prospects. In fact, this activity is strictly prohibited and violators may be asked to leave. When RTAs breach travel industry protocol, that behavior endangers YTB's relationships with suppliers and negatively effects the industry's perception of YTB - and its RTAs.

Protect your reputation and your business: Be judicious about your marketing practices. Remember, you can share with everyone, you just can't share everywhere!

Come on Coach, you said the suppliers love us! Why wouldn't they like to sign up? I mean you tried to get Dickinson didn't you?

*According to a worksheet provided by our own Travelingman, this week's 131 leadership bonuses was the lowest in a LONG time. I wonder what the number of people still in YTB actually is?

  1. I missed this! LOL they are recruiting suppliers now! I guess they don't need to go too far, just outside the front door there are thousands just waiting. Maybe offer them a bopttle of water in the hot sun to join your downline!
