The Rules Are Changing

After much consideration, I will be changing the commenting features of this blog. Beginning on Monday, in order to comment, you will need to have a registered name with Blogger. It does not identify who you are by anything other than the pseudonym you chose to use. There are entirely too many people posting as "anonymous" and quite frankly, if you don't have the spine to stand up for what you believe (right or wrong) why should anyone be bothered to read or listen to what you have to say?The comments, as always will NOT be moderated. All I ask is that you consistently identify yourself when commenting.I suspect that the comment count will go down considerably when the ability to leave an anonymous drive by snark is removed!

  1. I will register right now, but I suspect that will eliminate Ole, Mix, and a few hundred anons. They cannot think for themselves and cannot imagine standing up for anythign they believe in unless they were told to do so

  2. I just checked out the procedure. When it gets to the point where it asks you to create a blog, click continue and it will error.

But, it will have created the account for you and then you just comment as your name

  3. I doubt if this will make a difference because the bloggers don't have to create a profile. We will never know where Mixed Up, Ole, and the rest are even located. They can still hide behind a big nothing.

  4. Which is fine in my book---at least you know the players. With ANON you never know who it is

  5. John,

This won't mean a thing. All that means is that they could make 50 different names using different email accounts. And post as 50 different people. Really doesn't solve much.

  6. It will make it easier to follow a "conversation" and to address the appropriate person when you want to respond to something.

  7. I am happy that you decided to do this. I agree it will be easier to respond to the correct person.

  11. How did I ever become such a huge success with such poor reading skills?

now, if you could just do something about those crazy word verifications!

  12. I'm sure ole Doogie will make multiple accounts to support his recruiting. I wonder when we will hear the "Your Travel Tan" as the next best thing from YTB? Doogie has the market on that one!

Wow had to delete the above one, I was spelling like someone from YTB.

  13. The mental giants are at work on this blog from the TTA side . . . and we will include the clueless ytbscam.

Complaining about how I am anonymous.

When all you give for identification is martha, travellisa, ytbscab, eddie . . .

    So revealing!

Things are REALLY going to change come Monday.

We will now know that eddie is . . . eddie.

    That martha is . . . martha.

    That travelLisa is . . . travelLisa.

That ytbscam continues to be clueless.

    Real change.

  14. Mix, contrary to what your ego tells you it is not all about you! IT is about Anonymous, Anonymous, Anonymous, Anonymous, Anonymous, Anonymous, and Anonymous.

But now yo will need to figure out how to register your name (or create a new) one before commenting on Monday. It is not that hard!

  15. John - what does having a spine have to do with it? Don't give so much credit to your losers, YTBScam, eddie, TravelLisa, etc. Who are they? The only people that we know who they are is you and Doug.

Yes, your change will help the confusion as to all the anons, but in reality, everyone's still anon and always was - even with a clever screen name. Why couldn't you have left out your little snide, "spine" remark that made no sense?

  16. Because in reality, there are people on both sides that are indeed spineless and will not speak for themselves.

They much prefer to be COMPLETELY anonymous and not even create a pseudonym to use.

The predominant reason (in comments here on this blog) that they have not registered in the past is because they are "afraid". Sometimes the fear is because the SEC will get them if they talk about something. Sometimes it is fear that they are violating a MLM rule (incidentally, if you are an independent contractor, the MLM cannot enforce "rules" on you which is a huge issue and one of the main driving forces of this blog) or the one that cracks me up, I am afraid someone will come and hurt me or some other nonsense.

Look,if Doug and I have been blogging daily on this issue and neither of us have been knocked off, your innocuous little comment is probably pretty safe. The closest I cane was when Earl called my house in the middle of the night, called me an asshole and slammed down the phone.

    Nothing about my ego, John.

Just pointing out the foolishness of Insider and Martha.

As they complain about my anonymity.

I love to keep them guessing.

It gives Martha something to do.

  18. Thanks for the reply John to my "spine" question. I still disagree w/you in the fact that I feel both sides are hiding behind anonymity w/or without screen names and has nothing to do with having a spine just because you have a screen name.

However, I will say that even tho you do act like an ass at times here, it does take a bigger one to make such a phone call to you like that.

In closing, aren't we all really living such a blessed life that we can all get our panties in such a wad here anyway? People w/real gut-wrenching problems are defintely not here. THANK YOU GOD!

  19. I made the change and also eliminated the word verification

  20. "The only people that we know who they are is you and Doug."

I've been posting under my real name for a while. I even have a profile listed. Perhaps you just never cared to look.
