Update

Both of the videos highlighted yesterday have been pulled by YTB. Hmm, what does this tell you?

  1. Well that's interesting! Why would you pull such great recruiting?

Given the recent developments with Tripology, I was shocked to see Doug's blog yesterday. Wonder how long it will take for that to get removed too.

  2. With the plethora of those types of vidoes out there on the web, it says to me 1 of 2 different things. It says:

    a) people are just totally ignoring YTB rules about what can and cannot be posted, and YTB makes absolutly no effort to make sure their brand is being represented according to their policies, until there is an infraction and that infraction is pointed out to them, or;

    b) YTB is telling people what the policies are, but is also telling them not to worry about it, because nothing will happen to them until caught (wink, wink, nudge, nudge).

YTB is a brand that supposedly wants to be taken seriously. As such, you would think that they would be on top of this type of thing like white on rice. Instead, they seem to be reactive vs. proactive to this type of video. It really does make you wonder why. I can't think of any other company that is re- vs. pro-.

  3. What it tells me is that YTB can not control their RTA's. They let anyone sign up without a basic credit or background check. They have promoted the from Jail to Yale spiel and let people with dubious backgrounds join. It's no wonder they have RTA's doing whatever they please. YTB has no one to blame but themselves. Had they done a better job screening, enforced the rules and actually behaved like a host agency intstead of a recruiting monster none of this would be happening.

  4. You really jump to conclusions...the wrong ones at that. I was the author of one of those videos that you borrowed from my YouTube and then placed it predominately on your insidious site.

YTB DID NOT tell me to take it down, nor was I censored, forced, coerced, begged, emailed, flogged, commissions withheld, beaten, visited by the law, or even called up on the phone. Amazing discovery, don't you think?!

What the heck, I did it on my own. But then I found my video on your site so deleted it so you couldn't use it. That's it...end of story.

It wasn't removed, i just deleted it of my own free will. I did my Proactive thing, because it was used on your purely reactionary website. There is no other explanation, cuz i know, I did it.

  5. Why did you? It's kind of a coincidence WHEN you decided to...and how you knew to come to THIS blog among THOUSANDS...I hardly find it believable that you took it down 'cause you felt like it' Won't it hurt your recruiting efforts? It would also not hurt to be a little more truthful.

  6. Truth? I wrote the truth Lakeisha. What a sad accusation without information. Remarkably I frequent many sites, this is one of them.

The When? It was the same day. No coincidence. You can use many tools during an ordinary day you wouldn't want children to play with - so you take it away. Your assumptions are spurious, I'm sorry.

Truth? It's hard to find on this blog. You see, I have a computer and a service provider, the same as you.

My prospecting is doing very well, thank you.

  7. Canyontrail, you can say what you want but I doubt that many believe you.

I think it is amusing that you say that you take away tools that you don't want children to play with. Is that what happened to you? Did YTB take away your "YouTube Tool" so you could not play with it?

Maybe it was pulled because of the misinformation you put out there for unsuspecting people.

And lastly, YouTube specifically allows one to "borrow" so do not make it sound insidious. Look at most videos and there is a SHARE section with a link and an embed code. It is there for the taking unless you have the privacy restrictions set appropriately.

By any chance are you in California? Yes, you too may be Jane Doe #65

  8. What kind of person would call me a liar?

I'm aware of YouTube's embedded links and their policies.
What kind of person would call me ignorant?
Nothing was taken from me - only from you.
